Sea of Crises

from A Brief Trip to the Moon by Beau Finley

/

about

Mare Crisium (the Sea of Crises) is visible from Earth without the use of telescopic equipment. It appears as a dark spot on the Moon. The Soviet lunar probe, Luna 15, crashed in the Sea of Crises in 1969. The Sea of Crises is visible on the cover art of this album where the white line ends on the lunar surface.

When looking at the Moon, the Sea of Crises appears near the top of the Moon. However, the "top" is not North - North lies a little less than 90 degrees left.
